Who am I?
My name is Lauren and I am a Midwest native who has traded in the snow for 24/7 sunshine in Arizona. I am a trauma informed, weight inclusive, health at every size, and non-diet registered dietitian. Woah, that’s a lot of words. In short, I want to help people heal their relationship with food and build body trust. This comes from not engaging in the diet cycle anymore, acceptance, AND permission to eat all foods. Here’s the catch, people hear this and get fearful that someone is asking them to eat donuts everyday. You have permission to, but part of building body trust is learning what feels good to you.
I specialize in eating disorder recovery. I have worked with eating disorders since 2010. I have worked at all levels of care; IP, Residential, PHP, IOP, outpatient. Throughout my 15 years I have paired my nutrition expertise with touches of CBT, ACT, DBT, and motivational interviewing.
Before any of this could have happened I spent many years in school. I received my Associates in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University. You heard that right, a professional chef! I then continued on with a Bachelors in Culinary Nutrition from Johnson & Wales University. Masters in Science and Community Nutrition from the University of Nebraska. And finally, a Dietetic Internship completed at the University of Nebraska.

In my free time I enjoy a handful of activities. I am an avid trail runner / hiker. My favorite color is pink, and you can wear it any day, not just Wednesdays! You can find me watching some reality tv with my dog when I’m home and when I’m not, traveling the world. You may even catch me trying to fly the plane. Want to know my favorite destination so far?
